Moratorium passed on frack sand mining

Frack sand mining is finally getting on the radar.

Allamakee supervisors approve frac sand mining moratorium
No mining for at least 18 month while officials research potential ill effects

Potential ill effects? Understatement much.

WATER: Fracking sucks more than you think and it really blows too.

    I wish Texas cared about it’s citizens.

    My late husband was from Iowa, maybe we should have settled there. I wouldn’t be living this nightmare now.

      The only relatively safe place I can see is Washington State.

    I’m glad you said that, I spent hours this week googling where in the US is safe from this hell I’m living. I wasn’t able to see what I was looking for. If I could, I’d pack up, and leave this town today. I’m so afraid that no matter where I go, it will happen again.

    The compressor has been so loud lately, it rattles my windows. I tried to sit on my back patio, but my throat and eyes started burning. I’m reaching my breaking point.

      Sound meter + video = evidence. Documentation is your ticket out.

      No where is safe but if I could, I would go to Washington or Oregon. Lots of water there. But there are LNG export terminals so…
